It’s hard to find good Barbeque in L.A., but Wood Ranch BBQ serves up hearty portions of mouthwatering beef and chicken. We were introduced to this restaurant by friends, and it’s a great place to meet for a drink and dinner before retiring to the movie theaters at the grove. Rustle up some of your friends, and a hearty appetite, and prepare to dig in!
The complimentary bread is soft, garlicky, and addictive, but you’ll want to save room for the main event. From tri tip and ribs to burgers and chicken, there’s something for every unrepentant carnivore. The side dishes are as good as the meat - their heavenly smashed sweet potatoes and mesquite grilled corn on the cob are favorites. If you’ve got room for dessert - or eve if you don’t- you should order their cheesecake, not only is the presentation playful and fun - it features a biscotti crust that elevates it above any cheesecake I’ve ever had.
