Saffron is no longer with us. The Restaurant Rant has no idea why Saffron went out of business, but we can shed a small glimmer of it's highs and lows. Keep in mind, during our review we had no idea this restaurant was on it's way out.
The food at Saffron was very good. It had to be for you see, just down the street was the likes of their competitors Shamsheri who's cuisine and decor are tops! To play in this league service plays a huge part in tackling the competition and unfortunately, our experience at Saffron demonstrated a complete lack of customer care. Our server was inattentive and surly, allowing the refillables to go untouched for nearly the entire meal.
Persian is one of our favorite types of cuisine and it is disheartening to see this business close but other owners can take a lesson from Saffron. Location and cuisine are certainly key elements is attracting diners but its the customer service that keeps them coming back. nvl. |
