The Restaurant Rant is in the business of fact and opinion. The
cuisine statistics we present here are researched meticulously and
while we take these facts very seriously, it is opinion that is the
centerpiece of our business.
The
Rant's opinion of a given restaurant on a given night is exactly
that. Our opinion. One meal on one night at a given
restaurant could
not account for the numerous variables that explain that bistro's
business. This is where you, the cuisine fan, play such an important
part of The Restaurant Rant.
Your reviews of these businesses are an essential part of what
this web site is attempting to achieve; a fair and accurate assessment
of a restaurants cuisine and presentation. To that end we encourage
you to post your restaurant reviews with us as long as you follow
a few rules:
1. Be constructive. No flaming. If you have had a bad experience
at a restaurant, write your review in a manner that will help the
restaurant improve their ability to serve their public.
2.
No vindictive reviews. Bad restaurants will go out of business
soon enough. They don't need our help.
3.
No foul language.
4.
Give us details. Don't write, "the hamburger was good".
Tell us about the texture of the bun, the quality of
the meat, the freshness of the produce and the flavor of the sauce.
Let
us know
how long it took to get to the table. We need to know
the
price, the atmosphere, the service all the other details
that make up
a quality review.
5.
Keep your reviews to 100 words or less. Keep in mind the Restaurant Rant exists to help the restaurant owner
and the cuisine enthusiast alike. We hope your participation in this
endeavor will help us achieve these goals.
