Lets face it. This is a tough business. The city of Los Angeles is littered with the corpses of abandoned bistro's that didn't win the fight. Some times the whirling blur of passing cuisine castles is just too much for us to take in. Many times they close even before we can get their reviews posted.
Why should we even ask why? Starting a restaurant in the city of restaurants takes some serious courage. A prospective restaurant owner would have to believe his new establishment was just the right one, at the right moment, serving the right food, with the right staff, in the right location with just the right amount of......you get the picture. The Restaurant Rant asks why because we love to dine out and we want to see eateries flourish.
To that end we submit the following links. We reviewed these restaurants during their brief lives and feel the obligation to post our thoughts as to their passing. Don't misunderstand our motive. We take no joy in dancing on the graves of the fallen. Our only goal is to provide an insight for current and future restauranteurs.
