The unassuming façade that Orris presents hides a wonderful array of culinary treats housed in a well decorated, contemporary atmosphere. Original artwork adorns the walls, and the open kitchen boasts an impressive marble backing. The small dinning room and intimate lighting scheme make for a trendy but romantic dining experience.
Orris might be a new restaurant, but they’ve already got their service and cuisine down to an art. The menu here is comprised of “small plates” that can either serve as appetizers or you can order two to three as an entrée. The food is truly magnificent; European and Asian fusion, you can find everything from pan-fried sweetbreads (Glorious!) and roast quail, to a cold meat and cheese plate (A must order) and cheesy potato casserole. There are also several seafood choices that are both well flavored and unerringly fresh. The gourmet quality of the food is equally matched by flawless service. Our waiter Matthew never let our drinks dip below half full, and plates were quickly cleared for the next course.
With food of this quality, you could expect to pay to pay double their prices and be snubbed by the hostess to boot. Hurry in to Orris - you can impress all your friends with your new “find”: Great food, trendy décor, and mouth watering food.
5-17-05....We just returned from our second trip to Orris and it proved equally as exciting as the first. The service and the cuisine were outstanding, nearly defying category. On this trip we chose the filet mignon, crab cakes, the cheese platter and, of course, the pan-fried sweet breads. This is the type of meal that nearly shuts down your neuro system with each bite. If you haven't experienced Orris yet, we strongly recommend you book your table today. |
