Often restaurants are divided into two categories: restaurants that serve good food, and restaurants that are open late. So, what do you do if you want good food at 2am? You head down to La Cabana. They’ve been in business over 40 years, and they’re open from 11am to 3am. The Décor has a kitschy charm, complete with a fireplace where tortillas are cooked before your eyes. The staff, sharply dressed, are attentive even at 2am. If drinks are what you’re after, they make a mean margarita from the original 1948 recipe.
The reasonably priced menu ranges from $4.00 to $13.95. If you’ve brought your appetite, the Comidas Completas is a great deal. It includes soup or salad, a taco, enchilada, and chile reno, as well as a glass of wine, beer, or a margarita. Strolling musicians add even more appeal to the atmosphere.
