German food is scare these days, but Jagerhaus is definitely worth the drive. Decorated like a good German house with beer steins and clocks galore, you’ll feel like you popped back into the old country. The atmosphere isn’t the only good thing about Jagerhaus - the service is impeccable, and the food is beyond belief.
Jagerhaus serves by far the best German food I’ve ever eaten (and I’m including homemade here too). Their Jagerschnitzel is a perfectly breaded and fried veal steak that’s big enough to feed two. If you’re looking for a sampling of German specialties, try their combo - two types of sausages and a succulent smoked pork chop. The side dishes are just as good as the main event - Spatzael dumplings, red cabbage, sauerkraut, potato pancakes, and German potato salad are all excellent.
The food at Jagerhaus is as good as anything you’d find in Germany - now doesn’t that make the drive to Orange County seem a lot more palatable? nvl. |
