El Tarasco is the picture of the family run chow store that knows it's market and knows how to sell to it. When you come to El Tarasco, you can expect home style cooking that rewards with flavor and freshness. It's not too terribly clever, but it will satisfy your craving for the south of the border order.
Our recommendation is to enjoy your meal on the patio (weather permitting). We ate inside and found it a bit noisy and kind of, well, distracting. The patio is situated under some beautiful trees and Grand Ave. isn't too busy so, your experience should be pleasant. While El Tarasco has several restaurants in the area, this one is fairly close to the ocean so you'll love feeling the pacific breeze as you dine.
El Tarasco is a sit down table service restaurant that really wants to be a fast food joint. The service feels fast food, the atmosphere feels fast food and so does the grub. If you choose to dine at El Tarasco, keep in mind that this place is the little restaurant that could. rps. |
