The numbers are in for Dunya's Kitchen. Atmosphere-6 1/2, Sevice-7, Cuisine-9 1/2. Anything seem strange about that math? Take another look at the spread between the atmosphere and the cuisine. This quality of food and this kind of dining space are rarely found together and while it didn't really detract from our meal, the atmosphere at Dunya's Kitchen is, well, still in it's infancy.
The food at Dunya's is top notch. It compares with Sham, Shamshiri or Pars. It is fresh and fun and all the recipes are Dunya's (the owner) Even in spite of the atmosphere the cuisine gives you a homey, comfortable feeling. This little restaurant is perfect for the quick lunch on the go or take out for your evening meal.
Shortly before our excursion to Dunya's Kitchen, Dunya had celebrated the one year anniversary of her business and with a little investment in her atmosphere, she might be able to survive the hard edge of the food industry. After all, the math on food this good says that this little restaurant could beat the odds. |
