When I found a Czechoslovakian restaurant in the Los Angeles Area I was ecstatic. It’s a rare experience for me to try a new cuisine, and I had never had Czech food before. I was in for a treat, and you will be too. The Czech point is a simple, family owned restaurant with rustic tables, a Czech message board, and a spattering of Czechoslovakian memorabilia on the bar.
Opt for the fresh homemade soup with your meal. I sampled a cauliflower soup that definitely made me want to get to know the cuisine much better. The entrees are hearty and flavorful, and the Czech dumplings are at once familiar and new. The supremely tender pork roast or goulash are excellent bets, but the more adventurous might want to try the blood sausage. You definitely won’t find that on most menus in sunny L.A.
The dessert menu has something for everyone, but the strawberry dumplings are in a league of their own. So, if you think you’ve tried everything, stop at the Czech point, your passport to a new taste adventure.nvl. |
